Hp envelope printing software12/20/2023 ![]() I've tried two different types of #10 envelopes, both print crooked and they printed correctly on my old OfficeJet Pro L7680. My frustrations have ended-cockpit error. ![]() This is what you should read first in the User Guide (manual) for printing envelopes for the 8600 printer: IF YOU USE MS WORD TO PRINT ENVELOPES AND LABELS IT MAY BE CONFUSING AS IT SHOWS 6 FEED METHODS AVAILABLE, IF YOU CHOOSE THE ONE (FOURTH FROM THE RIGHT) IT SHOWS THE ENVELOPE BEING IN THE MIDDLE AND THE TIP OF THE FLAP FACING RIGHT, THIS WILL CAUSE THE PRINTING TO BE UPSIDE DOWN ON THE ENVELOPE. ALSO, you must insert the envelope(s) face down with the tip of the flap pointing towards the right, just as the graphics on the bottom of the tray show. On the 8600 model you MUST remove any paper in the tray and load the envelopes in the center, adjusting the sides to the envelope size. This had always worked before with no problems and the envelopes printed correctly, even though you could have used the tray and adjusted the sides to accept the correct envelope size (I never tried that). That model allowed me to print envelopes by putting the envelopes on top of the paper I already had in the tray, putting the envelopes on the far right side face down. I'd been under the assumption (wrongly) that OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus would print envelopes the same as my previous HP OfficeJet Pro L7680.
